Words cannot even begin to express how I’m feeling about this song being out for the world to hear. I wrote this emotional ballad right out of college when I was at my lowest and it has so much of my heart tied into it. Getting to write, produce, and mix this song has given me some much needed closure on a very dark chapter of my life and I felt the obligation to share my story with anyone else who feels like they aren’t enough. If you ever are feeling this way, even if we haven’t spoken in a while, just know you aren’t alone and I’m always around to talk or just listen if that’s what you need! 💜

It’s been difficult for me to find comfort in sharing more of the new projects and BTS of my work because it’s hard for me to be so open on social media. But music for me has always been an outlet for exploring emotions and feelings that I couldn’t otherwise express. So of course most of the music I write is emotionally honest and true to myself. Posting these songs means finally putting myself out there for people to see and I am no longer interested in being fearful of how people see my vulnerability. The music I have written comes from my heart and has helped me heal and grow in more ways then I could ever begin to explain.
I need to shout out all my friends and family who have listened to my debut single and sent the kindest words! I love you all so much!! Having a song out has really helped motivate me to keep releasing music and to keep writing!!
I also need to thank @the_laxboy at @thracianproductions who mixed and mastered my debut single and mastered my next two releases as well!! It is truly an amazing feeling knowing that my projects are in the best of hands and that the final product is everything I could have wanted and then some!!
I cannot wait for my next release and expect more BTS to come!

Took a trip in these long sleeves to capture pics for my first two singles! I cannot wait to share the photos and the music!!
This morning I woke up and felt inspired to write. I sat down at my keyboard and played this little progression I wrote for a commission I was hired to do, January of 2020. Because of the pandemic the project was indefinitely postponed/canceled.
When I sat down to play, these words just came out and said exactly how I feel. I’m so glad I am able to convey through music things I often have trouble saying out loud.
Also I have been working on my brand under the artist name Laven Grey. I don’t have my social media’s for @lavengreymusic up and running yet. But in the next couple of weeks I will be releasing my debut single “Somewhere” on all platforms, and launching my website and socials.
My goal with launching Laven Grey Music is to open a songwriting and production studio. I would love to write and produce for other artists and be involved throughout the creative process.
Super excited to finally be able to share and get started with my studio!
